Two Adverbs was in the house at the 57th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards held on August 27th, 2005 at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theater of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in North Hollywood, California.
Christopher Lockhart, our creative exec-in-residence, and his show The Inside Pitch were nominated in the category of Outstanding Public, Municipal and Operator Produced Cable. Co-nominees were producers Matthew D. Kallis, Stanley Kallis and co-host Jack d’Annibale. The show originally aired on station LA36 in the summer of 2004. It was subsequently released on DVD.
The Inside Pitch didn’t take home the prize, but Chris said, “The nomination was a coup for the program, and it acknowledged the hard work and struggle that aspiring writers face in Hollywood. It was that struggle that inspired me to create the free ‘Story Conference’ workshops that eventually evolved into ‘The Inside Pitch.’ And I continue to be inspired today.”
The 57th Annual Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, which recognizes excellence in local programming, was hosted by Mariette Hartley and Fred Willard. Guest presenters included Maria Concita Alonso, James Avery, Barbara Eden, Hector Elizondo, Lou Ferrigno, Leeza Gibbons, Erin Grey, Cesar “the Dog Whisperer” Millan, MAD TV’s Nicole Parker and General Hospital’s Jacklyn Zeeman.
